An update for our Whisperings Radio subscribers, supporters, followers, past concert attendees and piano music fans!

We don't often send emails to our Whisperings radio lists, but as we approach 2019, we have several announcements that may be of interest to those of you who follow/subscribe and/or otherwise support or tune into our broadcast. A lot is happening (and has been happening) and we want to keep you informed!

In this Update:
1) Whisperings Solo Piano Christmas Music and how to listen (or NOT!)
2) New Whisperings Apps for Apple TV and Roku
3) Join us in Atlanta, GA for the Whisperings "All-Star" Concert Weekend, Feb 9th & 10th! Performances by 31 Whisperings artists, plus dozens more in attendence. Come meet them!

Christmas Music on Whisperings (or NOT!)
Some folks love the Christmas and holiday music and want MORE of it.... and some folks do NOT! By default on Whisperings Radio, we'll play a couple Christmas/Holiday tunes an hour this time of year. Then, a day or two before Christmas we'll increase that. But if you don't like our defaults, and if you want more - or less - Christmas music, know that options are available to you. For example:

If you want MORE Christmas and Holiday favorites...

A) If you are a Whisperings PureStream subscriber, we just added a new "Play Christmas Only" feature to our "customized" player. You'll see this option via our web site player under the "Tools/View Options" menu as well as in the settings screen on the latest versions of the Whisperings iOS and Android apps offered by Emphatek Software. Note: if you don't see the option, be sure to navigate to your respective app store to get the latest update. The iOS update with the new feature is expected out today! The option is also now available via our new (and free) Apple TV app.

B) ALL Whisperings listeners can also visit our partner site SoloPianoChristmas.com (owned and operated by Whisperings artists) and tune in there for all your Christmas music needs. SoloPianoChristmas.com is ALL Whisperings artists, ALL Christmas music, ALL the time! Both we and SoloPianoChristmas.com change up our Christmas playlists every so often, so tune in via one or both for a great variety of solo piano Christmas music! If you enjoy SoloPianoChristmas.com this year, be sure to leave a little something in their tip jar to support what they are doing!

If you want LESS Christmas music...
Whisperings PureStream subscribers can opt OUT of Christmas music in any of the above players via the same settings options. As for our free stream listeners, it's not possible to opt out. However, we will be keeping the Christmas/Holiday music fairly limited on the free stream up until the day before Christmas or so.

Whisperings Apps for the Roku and Apple TV
We have made strides this year in terms of apps and ways to tune into Whisperings! As you may know, Emphatek Software offers Whisperings apps (sold separately) for the Android, iOS devices (iPhone, iPad), Mac desktop and Apple Watch. This year, we commissioned Emphatek to design Whisperings apps for both Apple TV and the Roku! These two apps are FREE to all! The feature set is a little different between them due to differences in the platforms:

Apple TV - Tune into our free stream anytime, or if you have a Whisperings PureStream subscription, log in directly from the Apple TV app to tune into our much expanded, commercial-free playlist *and* make use of "customized" player options that give you the ability to skip songs, thumbs up/down songs and more.

The Whisperings Roku Channel - Tune into our free stream anytime. If you have a Whisperings PureStream subscription (or a .99/month Roku only Ad-free subscription), you can log in directly from the app to tune into our much expanded, commercial-free playlist! Note: the advanced "customized" options are not yet available for the Roku channel, but we hope to add them in 2019.

The Whisperings "All-Star" Concert in Atlanta, GA!

Finally, we are excited to announce that the 6th Annual Whisperings Solo Piano "All-Star" Concert Weekend is coming to the Atlanta area on February 9th & 10th, 2019! It's the biggest solo piano event of the year... and YOU are invited! Mark your calendars!

We will be putting on two shows over two days... featuring 31 Whisperings piano artists including performances from all the Whisperings Solo Piano Album of the Year nominees! At the end of Sunday's "All-Star" show we will announce the winner of the Whisperings Album of the Year and present the award. It's going to be such a joyous occasion! Fun!!

Now I realize that most of you receiving this are a LONG way away from Atlanta and won't be able to make it to the show... even so we wanted to at least let you know about it just in case you decide to make the trip. Every year we have listeners who fly in from all over! For the piano music fan, this makes for a fantastic weekend getaway!

Dozens of artists from Whisperings radio will be in attendance. So far, over 70 piano artists have confirmed they are coming, which will make this year's event the largest gathering of Whisperings solo piano artists yet! Come on out and meet them!

Held this year at the elegant Roswell Cultural Arts Center, 950 Forrest St. Roswell, GA 30075, this All-Star concert will feature performances by Philip Wesley, Christine Brown, Stanton Lanier, Masako, Wayne Gratz, Michael Allen Harrison, David Nevue, Joe Bongiorno, Joe Yamada PLUS the Whisperings Album of the Year nominees; Adam Andrews, Mary Lydia Ryan, Michael Martinez, Matthew Mayer, Robin Spielberg, William Ogmundson and Michael Logozar! The Whisperings Album of the Year will be awarded at the end of the show!
