There are many ways to tune in to Whisperings radio, whether you are listening to the free stream or the subscription stream. If you don't want (or are unable) to use the Flash Player on the home page to listen, you can use the play links below or, if you prefer, open the provided stream URLs in directly in your favorite player. Instructions for doing that are below.

The Stream URL's show above will work with most players and devices. However, if you want to tune into Whisperings PureStream with a device like the Roku Soundbridge, Squeezebox, Sonos and so on, you'll need a special customized URL to do that. For details on how to tune in with specific players and/or devices, click the "Other Devices" link below.
These instructions assume you have iTunes version 11 or better. If you don't have a more recent version, you may need to update your iTunes softward to match these instructions.
The Free Stream: To tune into the free stream in iTunes, start up iTunes, select "Music" from the Library drop down list on the left side of the application (just under the File menu). Then click the "Internet" menu that shows up across the top (just under the window that shows the Apple icon. If you don't see Internet, go to Edit/Preferences and select the Internet Radio box). A genre list of music streams will display in the main window. Click the arrow that lists "Classical" stations. Under that alphabetical list you'll find "Whisperings: Solo Piano Radio." Click on that to tune in. See diagram below.
From that point on, you should see "Whisperings PureStream: Solo Piano Radio" bookmarked as a playlist in your iTunes music library. To see this, select "Music" from the Library drop down list on the left side of the application (just under the File menu). Then click the "Playlists" menu that shows up across the top (just under the window that shows the Apple icon. Then select "Internet Songs" from the list that shows up on the left side of the screen. You should then see "Whisperings PureStream: Solo Piano Radio" listed there in the main iTunes Window. Click on that to start your stream. See the diagram below.
Again, you must FIRST open up the stream using the File/Open Stream process described above. Once you do that, iTunes will add the link to your Internet Songs playlist as diagramed below.
If you *don't* see a bookmark listed here for Whisperings PureStream: Solo Piano Radio, it may show up as "secure", so try that. If not, you'll need to repeat the steps starting from File/Open Stream above.

If you wish, you can open up the Whisperings streams in Windows Media Player. You won't be able to access all the features our web site player offers, but you can access the music.
The Free Stream: To listen in Windows Media Player, start up Windows Media Player, then go to the File/Open URL... menu. Insert this URL: http://vistaweb.streamguys.com/pianosolo64k.asx. The stream should start playing. You can save the stream as a playlist if you like, and then the stream will be bookmarked in your Playlist Library. How exactly this is done depends on your version of Windows Media Player, as the process if different in almost every version!

Important Note: If you don't see the "File" menu option, you probably have your menu system hidden in Windows Media Player. To change this, start up Windows Media Player, then press CTRL+M which should display your menu system along the top of the player. Then you can select the "File" menu. Alternatively, just press CTRL+U to open up the window that prompts you for the stream URL. You can just insert it there.
For WinAmp, you'll need to create a custom stream URL for your account (here's how). Once you have that, go to the "File/Play URL" menu, insert your URL to open the stream.
For RealPlayer, go to the "File/Open" menu, insert the following URL:
You should then be prompted for your login.
To listen to Whisperings on the iPhone or iPad, you need a special iPhone app. We recommend this one, as it was designed specifically for our broadcast. It works very well, whether you're tuning into the free stream or our subscription stream, Whisperings PureStream
